Get Connected at Hilltop!
At Hilltop Community Church we are convinced that most of the action around our church won't happen in any of our services - it will happen in the context of you building relationships with other people. That's why we have all kinds of ways for you to get connected with other people who can support and encourage you through the highs and lows of life.
Membership
God never intended that the walk of faith should be a walk alone. His followers are to walk in authentic community with one another. When you become a Christian, you become part of the body of Christ in two important ways. First, you are one with Christ and the spirit indwells us. Second, you are part of the "church," the collective group of Christ’s followers (1Corinthians 12:27). Taking the step to become a member at Hilltop shows that you are committed to grow these relationships, enabling you to deepen your commitment and connection to the local body of Christ, as well as acknowledge the spiritual truth that you are connected to Christ and one another. Small Groups
Small Groups are a significant part of the way church is done at Hilltop. People in the group go to church here for teaching and worship, and then meet in small groups throughout the week to connect with each other and build closer relationships. Each group has 10-16 people and meet on a variety of schedules to discuss the message from the previous weekend or discuss other relevant topics using special study workbooks, the Bible or other resources. They pray together, encourage each other, and in the process build stronger relationships with each other. More Details
Bible Studies
Men and women gather each week in Bible study groups where they read a book of the Bible or parts of a book together. We have a Men's group as well as a Women's group. We learn about the historical and cultural context. We take language and worldview into consideration so that we understand the documents of faith as they relate to the time in which they were written. We then try to find ways to understand the Biblical message for our modern lives as individuals, as community and society. We question how God wants to transform our lives on a personal level. Community Classes
Community classes are in-depth studies that help us apply God's word to our lives. They are designed to do just that. To provide you love, relationships, and support, as well as education and knowledge for an eternal life with God through Jesus Christ. All classes are in our lower level classrooms. More Details
Ministry Leader
While the church or ministry organization needs leaders responsible for the big picture, it also needs leaders in all areas of the ministry. God uses certain types of leaders to prepare us for those good works (Eph. 4:11-12) and others to coordinate those good works. Still, others will be used to show us what those good works may be. Hence, three types of leadership are essential for the church to effectively accomplish the work God has for us to do... More Details
Volunteer
The purpose of Volunteer Ministries is to place the right people in the right places for the right reasons. Just as the human body cannot function properly unless the eyes, ears, and hands each do their part, so the Body of Christ--the Church--cannot function as God intended without each believer doing his or her part. This ministry has been created to assist you in the identification of your God-given passion, spiritual gifts and personal style, so that you can make your unique contribution in a meaningful place of service.
