I believe that there is no limit to what God can use to save those who are lost and bring those of us who call him our God, to a life of full devotion to Himself.  I never cease to be amazed at the lengths that our wonderful father goes to so that we remember how much we are treasured.

My ministry at Hilltop is never dull.  I love the challenge of working in various aspects of the leadership, the arts, technology and administration.  For me, there's nothing better than helping someone discover the joy in matching their ability to a task, and then seeing them enjoy that soulish satisfaction when they realize that what was an ability has now become a gift, offered with joy to the Lord.  Nothing better!

Your Story

I came to faith at the same Billy Graham Crusade that Pastor Jim did - Oakland, CA 1971.  I was ten years old.  Pastor Jim and I learned God's faithfulness early.  We began to pray together for our parents.  It wasn't long when my dad felt a draw to Hilltop Community Church.  He used to drive by the old building every day.  One day, he prayed that if the Lord gave him a job where he didn't work on the weekend, he'd take his family to church.  Well, shortly after that, my father changed jobs and the rest is history.  Our whole family was changed from one Billy Graham Crusade.  We've been a part of this wonderful church for over 39 years.

Education

I graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1979.  I attended Diablo Valley College for 1 year before marrying my husband Leon.  I have taken many classes at various times of my life; all facilitating and specified for whatever position of employment I held.  Little did I know that all of these various positions serve me well today in my position at Hilltop.  I would love to further my education in Scenic Design, Theatrical Lighting and Biblical Studies.

What's on your iPod?

I don't really carry an IPOD.  I love all genres of Christian music as well as classic piano, acoustic guitar or classical music.

Favorite Sports/Team

I suppose I should say the 49ers...I really don't care too much. Sorry Pastor Jim.

Movies

I love nostalgic movies.  Ones set in the 1940 - 50's era.

Hobbies

I enjoy cooking, tending house believe it or not!  I find it very gratifying to have order in my home, it is my refuge.

Favorite Bible Character

I'd have to say Esther - she just generally rocked!
